In the Style of Roman Satirical Tradition (1st Century CE)

Behold the senator, grave and stern, Who forgot what children know by heart: That power is just pretend, titles just a game of dress-up, and all our serious business the elaborate play-acting of apes who learned to wear togas.

Watch him pound his fist in the forum, defending honor with the passion of a child protecting an imaginary friend. The difference being: the child knows it's imaginary, while the senator has forgotten that dignity is just another costume in the cosmic dress-up box.
